Cancellation

Due to an unexpected death in the family the Group Hug at Shannon Hills First Baptist Church is canceled. We will reschedule at a later time. I am sorry for any inconvenience.

Group Hug Countdown

We are counting down to the group hug on Saturday! Debbie has managed to round up a few extra sewing machines. My Mom has volunteered to cut the fabric for the hugs. I've cut fabric for the helmet coolers. Today I will gather all the items I need to take and make sure that I'm not forgetting anything! I'm also going to tea dye some muslin, hopefully I won't make too much of a mess! Once that's done I'll cut some more helmet coolers and probably some neck coolers. I've had a number of requests for these for other soldiers that are deployed.

It looks like Nick's platoon will be assigned to a non-American base so they will be in great need of these as well as other supplies. I'll be keeping track of the needs they have after they arrive and will do my best to help them with whatever we can.
