Digging Rabbit

This video is of our rabbit, BB (aka BabyBunny/BitchyBunny) digging in a flower bed last March. She was sure busy, the sound is just of me laughing and talking a bit with my oldest son, nothing interesting. A day or two later we measured the tunnel BB dug and it was 13 feet! Amazing! We lost her at one point and discovered the entrance to the tunnel was filled in. We dug it out as we were afraid she was in it and sure enough she was. We got to watching and the other rabbit would fill in the entrance when BB was in it digging!!!! We finally filled it in so she wouldn't get hurt. Now BB just digs tunnels here and there but not nearly as long nor as deep. It's really funny to watch her "bulldoze" the dirt away with her front feet. When the weather is nice we put them out back. Though we do have to check on them as we've seen the neighbors cats watching, although I've noticed the birds do a good job of keeping the neighbors cats out of the back yard, but they let our cat back there; go figure!

Update, Update, Update! ♦♦

Wow, it has been a loooong time since I put anything on this blog. Okay, to catch up on our life to date.

DS#1 graduated from Army basic training & AIT. He was also accepted into Jump School. He graduated from JS the first of December. After he came home he married his girlfriend and they stayed until after the holidays. They are now at his duty station on the east coast. The end of June Nick will be deployed to Bagdad, Iraq for 15 months. It's up in the air as to whether or not his wife will come back or not. The movers came Friday and packed/moved their things out of the room. It's offical, Nick is no longer at home. I am sad/happy at the same time. I am so, oh so proud of him, and Melissa. But sad that they won't be here anymore. I am proud that Nick was prepared to go out into the world and fend for himself.

DS#2 got his drivers license!! Look out! LOL I will let you know when he's actually out on the streets. He isn't insured on any of our vehicles, DH doesn't want him driving the new vehicles. I would like to buy an inexpensive car for him to drive. Perhaps he will have something after the incentives come in from the government! $1500 would get him a little something. I know that he would like to be able to go to work without Mommy taking him, or go to his "friend-girls" house/to the movies without Mommy taking him. Yesterday we reviewed his course selections for next school year. It's so hard to believe that come August he will be a SENIOR!!! Where has the time gone? The children are growing/grown up.

I had to take my beloved dog Rocky in yesterday to have him put down. I'd had him for nearly 13 1/2 years. It was time, he was just plain ready I won't go into details. It was like he knew where/why we were going. He was such a good boy. I've been asked alot if I'm going to get another dog right away or wait. I don't know what we are going to do. I think that if a dog comes along that needs a home we will provide it, but at this time I am not going to go look for one. One of the things that we'd have to consider is the rodents we have. We'd have to make sure a dog wouldn't want to eat the rabbits/guinea pigs, of which we have 2 of each, we'd also have to make sure it got along with cats as Petey has priority since we've had him nearly 10 years.
